ok, so here is an update on the cave,
the bottom half is the cave tiles, and the top half is a mining shaft tiles, gives the player a little bit of variation and lets them know they're getting closer to the end.
its a MASSIVE pain in the ass to get through. (there were more enemies at first) and lags like fuck, I'm not sure why :S
i've reduced the enemies down, and trying to position them in best wtf locations.



its possible for the player to fight each enemy or simple avoid them (i'll need to re-script their ai's a bit) the treasures are simply there to make life easier in this level. items that reduce how long monsters chase you or weapons to kill them dead. I'm going to increase the difficulty along the green path (its way too short) and force the player to take the long yellow one. (which in turn forces player to fight the "boss")
